About Us

Mission Statement: To revitalize and promote the performing arts (specifically music, poetry and theatre) in New York City's Chinatown. We produce community-based events and activities that promote local artists and attract new visitors to Chinatown.
Feliza Mirasol, Executive Producer
Feliza Mirasol was born and raised in Jersey City, N.J. She is the daughter of working-class immigrants who were among the earliest waves of Filipinos to come to the U.S. during the reign of former Philippine president-dictator Ferdinand Marcos. At age 16, she left Jersey City to study at Phillips Academy Andover, a Massachusetts boarding school, on an academic scholarship via the A Better Chance (ABC) Program. Feliza then went on to study Biology and Chemistry in undergrad and Marine Environmental Sciences in graduate school. She currently works as a writer and editor for a chemical industry trade magazine. She also writes poetry and performs spoken word in the New Jersey/New York region. She hopes to bring different racial, cultural, ethnic, political and artistic voices together to stand on common ground at the The Five Points Poets' Lounge.
Chung Tsang, Producer
Chung currently works at Banc of America Securities in the area of Algorithmic Trading. Chung earned an BA in Psychology, an BS in Computer Science at Rutgers and went on to get an MS in Software Engineering. In School, Chung was involved in the Chinese Student Organization and was VP of the Psychology Honor society.

Artistically, Chung had begun writing in High school and made a few comedic short videos with friends before heading to college. In College, Chung learned the basics of editing using the school's media lab, and spent time learning about world cinema. A few years later, he made a short film on his own with a few friends as his cast. The following year, Chung's short film scripts was selected as the first film to be produced exit 131 productions (a member salon of AIVF.) He continued to work with the group on a few more shorts and have since focused on writing. Chung now works with the AAFilmlab to work shop scripts and prepare for production of some short films.

In recent years, Chung travels annually to Asia including Hong Kong, China, Japan and Korea to better understand the richness of Asian Culture. Chung has a passion for the Asian American Community and uses his free time to volunteer at various organizations. Chung hoped to join The Five Points and help promote Independent film making and create a stage for Asian filmmakers to amplify our voice in the Asian community. He would like to help build a close community of Filmmakers and Artist who can work together to change the face of the American media. With the rest of the The Five Points Crew, he hopes to make Chinatown the epicenter of a new wave of Asian Artists on the East Coast.


Tiffany Moore
Tiffany Moore is a sophomore at Pace University. She is currently on the Deans List, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and Minoring in East Asian Studies. She enjoys volunteering her time for various community building activities in NYC's Chinatown and has been volunteering for THE FIVE POINTS for two years.
Bing J. Ng, Sound Engineer and Videographer
An active volunteer in his community, Bing participates in various community building events and festivals. Bing was born and raised in San Francisco, California. He enjoys listening to various kinds of music, playing the guitar and watching psychological thrillers. Bing is currently pursuing undergraduate studies at BMCC in New York City, hoping to pursue a sound production degree or a music degree in the later years.
Angel Acevedo, Photographer
Angel Acevedo is an aspiring artist, born and raised in the Bronx, NY. A recent student of well-renowned NY photographer Luna Luis Ortiz, Angel is learning his own passion for photography. The firstborn and only son, Angel gets his sense of duty and work ethic from his working class parents, especially his dad. He balances responsibility with his love of artistic expression; through photography, music and acting. As an artist, he is exploring a new awareness and a greater sense of self through his interactions at THE FIVE POINTS.
Seldon Yuan, Editor - Poetry Publications
Seldon Yuan is robot, poet, and artist living and working in New York City. His work has been exhibited in various galleries and venues including the Museum of Modern Art. He has performed across the US and on radio and been published in various magazines. His book of poems Morning Afternoon Evenings was published in 2001.
Jeannel Garcia (Jen)
Jen Garcia was born in the Philippines and moved to the US with her family at the age of 8. She is the daughter of hardworking, traditional parents. Jen is also a writer who writes from personal experience surrounding family, friends, and her community. She works in downtown Manhattan for real estate company Citi-Habitats and resides in Manhattan's Upper West Side. Jen is known as a strong-willed, genuine and generous person always willing to help those in need. She's proud to be a team member of THE FIVE POINTS.

Joanna Lin
Joanna is currently a student at New York University, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Joanna thrives in an environment of creative artistic expression. She enjoys singing, playing guitar, photography, graphic design, and being an active volunteer in New York's Chinatown community. Known to be full of high-spirited energy, Joanna has been fervently supporting THE FIVE POINTS for two years, and is honored to be a recent member of the dedicated crew.

Mike Chang
"Yo this guy over here, call him MC. But um you wanna see me yo, you gotta come to da front on Friday night. But if you wanna know me right now, yo i'll be nice and do you a favor. I needed to hit somewhere on Friday night so I went to Chinatown. Dats how I got lost and what are the odds dat I went into forma The Five Points fo directions.
